Hello darlings,

Yesterday I celebrated my 40th birthday! A milestone that felt all exciting, grounding, and deeply reflective. I spent a quiet moment thinking about everything God has carried me through, every lesson and every season.

Oh, by the way! If you missed it, I shared a few little birthday gifts with my community. You can check them out too, click here!

As we head into Thanksgiving week, I wanted to share a few reminders to help you move through the days ahead with peace, intention, and a little more gentleness with yourself.

Healthy Habits: Mindful Eating Without Stress

Holiday meals can bring up anxiety, guilt, or the pressure to “eat everything.” This year, give yourself permission to slow down and enjoy the food — without turning it into an all-out binge. Gluttony isn’t celebration; presence is. Taste your food. Savor it. Notice textures, flavors, and memories.
And if you’re spending the holiday alone or feeling disconnected, offer support to someone who may need company — an older adult, a young mom, or a friend who’s also navigating the day quietly. Serving someone else can soften loneliness and bring purpose back into your own space.

Stress Reduction: Protect Your Peace With Gentle Boundaries

The holidays can be overstimulating. People, noise, obligations — it’s a lot. Give yourself permission to pause when needed. You don’t have to attend every event, entertain every question, or remain in every conversation.
Set simple boundaries like stepping outside for air, taking a quiet moment in the bathroom, limiting how long you stay at gatherings, or saying “not today” when something feels draining. Being present doesn’t mean sacrificing your peace.

Productivity & Time Management: Plan Ahead to Avoid the Rush

A lot of holiday stress comes from rushing. Plan your week early — lists, meals, errands, timelines. Structure helps create margin. Build in extra time for everything so you’re not breathless or running behind.
When you’re on time (or early), you start the day in a calm, grounded state instead of chaotic energy. That alone can change the whole week.

This Week’s Journaling Prompt
“How do I want to show up this Thanksgiving — emotionally, spiritually, and physically? What does calm, present, and healthy look like for me this week?”

Scripture for the Week
“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.” — Philippians 4:5 (KJV)
