Hello darlings,
We are in the final stretch of our 21-Day Spring Reset and I just want to say, if you showed up even a little bit, that counts. This reset was never about being perfect. It was about reducing stress, making improvement to your gut health and finding small ways to move and feel better. That’s the whole thing. And spring is the perfect reminder that fresh starts are always available to us.
Speaking of fresh starts…
April is all about fitness and movement here at LJ Lifestyle. And I want to kick it off with something I know a lot of us need to hear:
You Don’t Need a Gym to Work Out
This is a mindset shift I want to plant in you today.
So many people believe that if they can’t get to the gym, the workout doesn’t count. But movement is movement and your body doesn’t care where it happens.
Here are some simple ways to stay active without a gym membership:
∙ 🚶🏽♀️ Go for a walk. Seriously. A 20-30 minute walk does more for your body and mind than you think.
∙ 📱 Use free apps. The Nike Training Club app has free guided workouts for all fitness levels — no equipment needed.
∙ 💻 YouTube is your gym. Search any style — yoga, HIIT, strength, pilates — and you’ve got a free trainer in your living room.
∙ 📊 Track your steps. Simply being aware of how much you move each day is a game changer for building consistency.
∙ 🏠 Bodyweight workouts at home. Squats, push-ups, lunges — basic movements done consistently will get you results.
The goal isn’t to go hard. The goal is to make movement a non-negotiable — whatever that looks like for you right now.
Start Planning That Summer or Fall Family Trip
While we’re talking about things to look forward to, have you thought about a family cruise this year?
Two cruise lines consistently rise to the top for families:
🚢 Royal Caribbean — Perfect for active families. Think waterslides, surf simulators, rock climbing walls, zip lines, and Broadway-style shows. Their private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, is a family favorite. Something for every age, every energy level.
🏰 Disney Cruise Line — If you have younger kids, Disney delivers pure magic. Character meet-and-greets, themed dining experiences, private island Castaway Cay, and top-rated kids clubs. One of the few cruise lines with nursery care for babies as young as 6 months. Adults love it too.
I’m currently booking summer and fall sailings. If you’re ready to start planning, head over to my booking page and let’s make it happen.
